  • This dataset contains Meteoric Ablation Simulator (MASI) sodium and nickel ablation experimental data, where samples were heated in vacuum chamber with Na and Ni and detected by laser induced fluorescence. The data are Laser induced fluorescence (LIF) profiles of Ni and Na from ablating particles (powdered meteorite or meteorite proxy). This experiment was undertaken as part of Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) First study of the global Nickel and Aluminium Layers in the upper atmosphere (NIALL) project (NE/P001815/1). This project aimed to make the first ever study of Ni and Al chemistry in the mesosphere/lower thermosphere.

  • This dataset contains Chemical Ablation Model version 3 (CABMOD3) simulations of metal ablation from meteoroids.

  • This dataset contains Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) concentrations taken from a large, population-scale study, which was conducted for a total of 19 weeks during the winter and summer of 2019. VOC concentration data were collected for 39 VOC species across 60 houses in Ashford, United Kingdom. Samples were collected in evacuated stainless-steel canisters over 72 hours using restricted flow inlets. A number of houses were randomly selected to also collect an outdoor sample. Each household, per campaign, was associated with at least three canister IDs and some with an additional outdoor sample. This dataset contains information on all VOCs collected, listing in which season each sample was taken, the associated canister ID and the analytical instrument with which each VOC was measured. Household, demographic, and product use information is available, as is a logbook outlining further sample information.

  • This dataset contains direct infusion ultra-high resolution mass spectrometry measurements made at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics land station, Beijing (IAP-Beijing) site during the summer and winter APHH-Beijing campaign for the Atmospheric Pollution & Human Health in a Chinese Megacity (APHH) programme. Daily quartz microfiber filters were collected with a Tisch high volume sampler. The extracted organic fraction of the collected PM2.5 particles was analysed using an LTQ Orbitrap Velos mass spectrometer with electrospray ionisation to obtain high resolution mass spectra which enable the assignment of molecular formulae to the detected masses. For both seasons, 10 filters were analysed, containing the 5 filters with the highest and lowest mass loadings for each season. The files names are labeled according to the ID of the analysed filter. All dates and times are given in Beijing local time.

  • This dataset contains concentrations of methane, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and carbon monoxide measured using an Ecotech Spectronus FTIR (Fourier transform infrared spectrometer) in Glatton, Cambridgeshire. The instrument operated from October 2014 to April 2016 in the tower of St Nicholas Church, Glatton. The church is located at 52.461N, 0.304W, and the inlet was located 20m above the ground. This data was collected as part of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) Greenhouse gAs Uk and Global Emissions (GAUGE) project. The GAUGE project aimed to determine the magnitude, spatial distribution, and uncertainties of the UK's Greenhouse Gas budget using new and existing measurement networks and modelling approaches at a range of scales.
